Petero is considered a legend in rugby league and one of the nicest people to have ever laced a boot.
Petero played 309 professional games for both his beloved Brisbane Broncos and the Penrith Panthers. He represented Queensland on 33 occasions and Australia 45 times.
Petero has also represented Fiji as a player and later as an assistant coach.
In 2009 he broke the record for the most international matches for Australia of any forward in the game’s history.
Petero was also lucky enough to win three premierships with the Brisbane Broncos – in 1998, 2000 and 2006.
